I am the author of two books: ME Addiction: having it my way isn’t so great afterall and The X-odus Files: Following God in an Alien World. The first discusses the problem of a “me-focus” and how to move towards an “other-focus.” The second looks at life and leadership lessons from the story of Moses.
This is my personal blog where I’ll write about inspirational things, leadership lessons, and how to do life better. I hope it will help you and give you something you can use the day you read it.
I believe each one of us can make this life better. And we can love it too.
We’d better. We only have one life to love.
I have spent my adult life working through churches to help people live life better. I started out in San Angelo, Texas working primarily with teens. From there I moved to the mountains of Colorado and worked with adults in Lakewood, Colorado. Tyler, Texas was the next stop and finally moved to Tomball, Texas (a suburb of Houston) where I have been since 1999.
Through all those experiences I’ve learned a little about encouraging people, a few leadership lessons (learned mainly through trial and error), and a lot about life in general.
I ventured into the world of city government a few years ago and landed on the Tomball City Council. Still learning there, but working with good people to make this city an even better place to live.
I have been married to my best friend and one-in-a-million wife Karen since 1986. We have two sons: Kristofer and Taylor.
In my spare time I like to hang out with my wife, watch movies, read, play a little guitar, workout at the gym, and spend time with friends.
